Policies

Policies have to be implemented in order to keep our Club functioning properly and be welcoming to old and new members at all times.

We would greatly appreciate it if everyone would abide by the following rules.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TFC MEMBER AND A GUEST:

  • TFC MEMBER: is a person who pays full monthly or yearly membership and is registered under TFC with the CFF.
  • GUEST:
    - A guest is a person who pays as he/she goes even if registered under TFC with the CFF.
    - It is ALSO a person who even if he/she pays full monthly or yearly membership is NOT registered under TFC with the CFF.

ALL MEMBERS: Everyone MUST sign the attendance books. Make sure you put your initials in the right book at the right date (Members/summer members – Guests or Beginner). If your name is not on the sheet, please add it.

GUESTS: please initial the book, fill in the envelope, place your money inside and put the envelope in the grey box.

GUEST FEES: a credit card slip or cheque will be kept as a security. If a fee is not paid within a week, you will be informed by mail, email or telephone that your credit card or cheque will be charged for the necessary amount. A Letter of Authorization for credit card payment will be signed at registration. Also a 10% surcharge will be added onto the total for Credit Card Interest.

MEMBER FEES: monthly or yearly fees will have to be paid at the beginning of the month or the year. A credit card or cheque will be kept as a security. If the membership is not paid within a week, you will be informed by mail, email or telephone that your credit card or cheque will be charged for the necessary amount. A Letter of Authorization for credit card payment will be signed at registration. Also a 10% surcharge will be added onto the total for Credit Card Interest.

Our Programs

LICENCES AND WAIVER:

  • OFA/CFF licences: Every fencer MUST have a CFF License number and present a proof of renewal at registration each year. Beginners and guests (from outside the country) will be asked to pay a one time fee of $15 for OFA/CFF license.
  • Waiver: Every fencer will be asked to sign a waiver form.

PRIVATE LESSONS WITH COACHES - GROUP LESSON WITH ANDREW AND VIDA:

  • Booking: Coaches have already some fencers taking lessons on a regular basis. If you wish to have a private lesson with a coach (Peter, Andrew, Vida, Chris...) or be part of the Monday group lesson with Andrew and Vida, please contact Catherine Dubois by email. Make sure you say if it is a one-time lesson or if you want to make it a regular one every week.
  • Cancellation: make sure you inform Catherine by email at least 24 hours prior to your lesson. If you do not, you will be asked to pay the fee. Andrew’s time is important and respecting his schedule is more so.

RULES:

  • NO STREET SHOES.
  • NO BAGS.
  • NO FOOD ON THE PISTES OR AROUND.
  • BAGS MUST STAY ON THE CEMENT PART.
  • TRACK PANTS OR FENCING PANTS WITH LONG SOCKS MUST BE WORN TO FENCE ON THE PISTES.
